Spindrift Market Development Manager - D.C./MD in District Of Columbia
JOB DESCRIPTION
In March 2021, Spindrift announced it’s launching of a delicious, cleaner take on hard seltzer – Spindrift Spiked Sparkling Water. Come join the team and play a critical role as we continue to grow our newest product across the US. The Market Development Manager (MDM) should be based in Washington, D.C., and willing and able to travel up to 80% of the time throughout the D.C./Maryland territory. This role will build the brand through direct account selling, key account management, distributor management, and in-market distribution, display and sampling execution. The MDM will maximize distribution and be the main point of contact for both on and off premise accounts in the assigned territory.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Launch & Manage Spindrift Spiked
In-market expectations: 4 days per week visiting 50 accounts (on premise, large format, convenience, chain & independent accounts).
Sell in displays, new points of distribution, and demos by partnering with distributor reps & DMs.
Deliver professional market recap emails to distributor partners weekly.
Ensure visibility and quality standards in all accounts.
Present in front of large groups (50 - 100 people) for General Sales Meetings & new launches.
Directly manage solutions to grow business in assigned territories and increase market share for Spindrift Spiked & Spindrift Sparkling 16oz.
Call on small/mid-sized regional Key Account buyers & distributor call points.
Align with our distributor network to ensure focus on Spindrift Beverage Co. portfolio at accounts & geographic territory through regular communication, support, education, and training, etc.
Leverage all selling resources to support KPIs at accounts, including programming execution, sampling, POS, etc.
Collaborate cross functionally with internal departments to ensure alignment to grow our brand and deliver against company priorities.
Develop and maintain relationship with key account and distributor contacts, to ensure collective success and execute against Spindrift Beverage Co. priorities and goals.

Requirements
3+ years of experience working in alcoholic beverage
Demonstrated sales record and success working with distributors
Self-motivated with a proven history of delivering against KPI’s
Proficient use of Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
Experience with VIP & Circana (formally IRI) preferred
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-growth, start-up environment
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Outstanding organization skills and strong attention to detail
Willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done, with ability to work long & flexible hours, including some nights and weekends for events/festivals

Working Conditions
Must be able to lift a case of product (40lbs) regularly with the ability and desire to physically assemble large displays
Must have regular access to a vehicle and be able to travel on a regular basis, up to 80% of the time
