Summary

This position is responsible for supporting the employee relations activity post hire. Responsible for employee maintenance of benefits, PTO, general needs of associates. First point of contact in HR for associates.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

First point of contact for associates with regards to questions regarding benefits, PTO, or other general questions. Tracks associate attendance, for Benefit Group 4 associates, extracting data from KRONOS, verifying accuracy with management, entering verified data into HR database, preparing attendance counseling sheets, obtaining associates’ supervisor and appropriate HR representative’s signatures and filing in the associates personnel file.

Coordinates with the Staffing Recruiter/Interviewer to ensure that all new hire paperwork is together prior to New Hire Orientation. Coordinates with the Staffing Recruiter/Interviewer termination activity. Enter accurate termination details into SAP.

Utilizes all HR reporting tools, i.e., PTO accruals, benefit data, other required reports, to perform audits and generate reports.

Works with Associate Relations Rep to improve processes and efficiencies.

Minimum Education

Associates degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or plus 0 - 1 years related work experience or in the absence or an Associates degree, total work experience equals 4 years.

AA degree is preferred.

Experience Requirements

Requires experience using an HR/Payroll database system. Proven success in handling administrative responsibilities. Demonstrated ability for accuracy, meeting deadlines, experience in multi-tasking and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or Company business.

Experience Preferred

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings. May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another. May need to access files, supplies and equipment. Work activity is in an office, open-partitioned, cubicle environment.
