Technical Financial Reporting Manager

The Technical Financial Reporting Manager will be an essential member of the Accounting and Financial Reporting group reporting directly to the VP of Treasury. This role will demonstrate technical understanding and ease with toggling between IFRS and other GAAP practices around the world.

The Technical Financial Reporting Manager will be assisting with the consolidation of Niagara Bottling, LLC (Worldwide) and preparation of US GAAP consolidated financial statements, along with review of supporting schedules and other various monthly reporting and ad hoc projects. Technical Financial Reporting Manager will serve as key user in charge of maintaining Oracle Financial Consolidation Cloud Services (FCCS), our consolidation and reporting tool.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with data input in the Company’s consolidation and financial reporting tool, Financial Consolidation Cloud Service (FCCS). The input of data incudes but it’s not limited to, recording US GAAP entries, recording topside entries, allocation, elimination, translation adjustments in FCCS as applicable.

  • Assist the team in the monthly consolidation process of Niagara Bottling’s numerous wholly owned and variable interest entities around the world.

  • Assist the team with the preparation and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports;

  • Review the financial statements for errors, inconsistencies, and discrepancies.

  • Building further automation between GL and FCCS for writing footnote disclosures.

  • Analyze current/proposed accounting pronouncements for potential implications on the financial statements and propose best alternatives. Help implement accounting standards and other financial reporting requirements to which we may be subject.

  • Ensure that our financial policies and procedures are current and meet GAAP requirements and are communicated and made available to all operating departments.

  • Provide support and documentation to assist with the audit of our financial statements conducted by external auditors and ensure an efficient process.

  • Assist with business valuations, purchase accounting for the many acquisitions and business ventures/transactions made by the Company around the world; including assisting with system start-up/ledger creation and/or system integration post acquisition.

  • Help identify areas of improvement, assist with documentation of policies and procedures where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment

  • 4 Years – Experience in Position

  • 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects

Competencies

  • Strong experience with systems used to extract relevant data for the financial reporting and consolidation process.

  • Strong experience with the financial reporting and consolidation process, including public accounting experience and management experience

  • Experience or strong understanding of US GAAP; experiences in business combination, equity accounting, non-controlling interests, translation and re-measurement

  • Experience or strong understanding with/of large ERP systems; Oracle preferred

  • Experience or strong understanding with/of FCCS or other consolidation and reporting tool

  • Proficient knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Strong Project management skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels throughout the organization

Education

  • Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or other related field

  • Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in Accounting or other related field

Typical Compensation Range

Pay Rate Type: Salary

$116,624.00 - $163,274.00 / Yearly

Bonus Target: 10% Annual
