Job Description

Summary/Objective

Reporting to the VP of Programs, the Repair Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure optimal inventory levels for repaired and overhauled parts based on sales and acquisitions. This requires managing repair cycles of all parts, handling and executing terms and contracts with all repair vendors, maintaining relationships with current vendors, and sourcing new vendors when required. The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated and enthusiastic, wanting to grow their expertise within a dynamic working environment.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Responsible for daily analysis of the inventory and sales to coordination of issuing repair orders, approving quotes and communicating with the repair vendors to ensure timely deliveries of repairs

• Oversee a network of vendors to optimize quality, cost, turnaround time and customer service

• Find opportunities to improve the vendor network and its performance for CFM Materials

• Sources new vendors when required for additional capabilities, performance or TAT issues

• Ensure charges for repairs are by agreement, repair price catalog; Responsible for Repair Pricing catalog update and applications by vendors

• Full comprehension of all contracts, ensuring proper execution, and negotiating new pricing and commercial terms with external vendors

• Resolve repair orders' specific issues, perform resolution, and assist the technical department with recurring repairs and technical issues

• Ensure critical repair information, such as repair codes and parts notes, service bulletin details, and reworked alternate parts lineage, is captured in the ERP system

• Responsible for warranty and guarantee administration, including preventing and identifying potential claims and managing actual claims

• Responsible for resolving issues related to vendor quality and performance and planning recovery or backup solutions to ensure the availability of overhauled material

• Create presentations, reports, and strategic guidance for Leadership

• Provide reports and updates to the organization on the visibility of parts in repair and any unexpected availability of parts

• Mentor and provide guidance to Repair Coordinators

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain or a related field with a minimum of two years of aviation experience

• in place of a Bachelor's, at least five years of experience in aviation supply chain repairs

Additional Eligibility Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

• Knowledge of ERP systems

• Knowledge of repair chain management procedures and workflow activities

• Knowledge of engine or aircraft maintenance manuals

• Ability to lead others through direct and indirect influence

• Advanced skill in effectively communicating via phone, email, video, and in-person

This position may have supervisory responsibilities depending on the candidate.
