Job Summary:
As a Tax Markets Deployment Executive (MDE), you will manage markets deployment activities of a Tax sub-service line (SSL), specifically the Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) practice. Working closely with SSL partners and Region leaders, you will develop and execute upon the market initiatives for strategic, multi-disciplinary teams. You will also develop integrated, client-focused go-to-market strategies to enable GCR to meet its revenue and other goals.
You will manage these strategies through the development and use of appropriate collateral materials for deployment to the account teams.
To monitor trends, you will use internal and external research surveys, relevant subject matter insights, and thought leadership. You will also establish protocols for integrating marketing trends into market strategies. You will also support the internal markets needs of the GCR leadership team, as needed.
In this role, you will work independently, with little direction or oversight, but will proactively provide status of projects to the GCR teams and Director of Tax Markets Deployment. You will be expected to influence outcomes without direct authority
Key Responsibilities:
Provide go-to- market development support for GCR. Share knowledge and execute on priorities.
Work with service line leaders to co-lead and coordinate go-to-market strategies, using communications, meetings and client events. Set and manage meeting agendas.
Serve as the central point of contact for the Markets leadership team, co-manage the development of go-to-market materials, using all available internal and external communication channels, helping to choose appropriate vehicles for each effort
Work with Region Business Development organizations to identify geographical and industry market trends and needs. Adapt nationally based go-to-market initiatives to the specific needs of a market/Region/industry, including subject matter professional visits/roadshows, etc.
Participate directly in market leadership initiatives and activities at the discretion of the specific service line’s Markets Leadership Team
Help to develop the SSL’s marketing strategy and plan.
Conduct SSL market strategy meetings and coach on best practices to address go-to-market needs
Monitor and report marketplace activity, pipeline activity and wins on a national level. Adjust strategies accordingly
Collect relevant market research and distribute to service line leaders. This will include go-to-market and exceptional client service initiatives, such as leading practices, and marketplace issues, challenges and risks
Support client-facing meetings, pursuits and proposals by providing examples of leading practice go-to-market collateral, research, business analysis and competitive intelligence
Build relationships with SSL, in order to successfully direct their market efforts. Guide the sub-service line’s ideas and activities, to conform to the firm’s overall Tax market strategy and branding guidelines. Help focus the service line on the highest priority or highest value initiatives
Quickly gain knowledge of the services offered by the service line, understand how these services are delivered to clients and the role specialists play in the delivery. Also, understand the role and operations of other major services the inner-relate with the service line
Proactively bring best practices from the Tax Markets team to the PAS practice for consideration and adoption.
To qualify, candidates must have:
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Excellent presentation skills and executive presence
Ability to interact confidently with sub-service line leaders Proficient at coordinating multiple projects and initiatives concurrently
Competent to work both independently and within teams, operating in a virtual, broad-based team
Confident in utilizing internal subject matter resources, yet be a self-starter
Strong time management and organizational skills
Robust technical skills (Microsoft Office, with special emphasis on PowerPoint, Outlook, Skype)
Demonstrated success in building internal and external relationships at a senior level
Fast learning skills, to understand the services offered by the service line, how these are delivered to clients, and the role EY's professionals play in delivery
Proven ability to market complex services or products in a professional services environment
A minimum of 8-10 years’ experience, including business development and/or marketing experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $200,000 to $385,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $240,000 to $437,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
