Amrock, LLC Sr. Quality Engineer (Ref# SQEAMR) -- multiple openings in Detroit, Michigan

Amrock, LLC has multiple openings for the position of Sr. Quality Engineer (Ref# SQEAMR).

Work Location:  662 Woodward Ave. Detroit, MI 48226; Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.

Job Duties:  Develop software system testing specifications, performance requirements, validation procedures, and documentation. Analyze business and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. Monitor and improve functioning of applications and services to ensure system operates in conformance with business specifications. Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of features and stories of an application or service. Define requirements and testable acceptance criteria. Create automated test scripts across multiple automation frameworks. Develop, document, and maintain test cases and other test artifacts for various types of testing. Identify test requirements from stories and design a test coverage plan that ensures deliverables and clients acceptance criteria are met. Facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members. Find, isolate, replicate and report defects. Verify defect/issue resolutions. Perform functional, regression, integration, back-end, compliance, and web-services testing as needed for the application or service. Identify improvement and automation opportunities and implement accordingly. Serve as lead SME for production emergency bug fixes. Understand and observe how products are being used by clients to determine if any enhancements or bug fixes are necessary. Keep current with company quality standards. Develop and enhance automation test strategies, requirements, planning and procedures. Support and manage test case repositories. Support and manage bug tracking tools. Collaborate with the team to understand and validate configuration settings to ensure optimal product performance, scalability, and availability for production environments. Develop, implement, debug, and enhance automated test scripts, automation code and test lab environments. Identify project risks and performance issues and recommend actions to minimize risk during new product development. Make detailed recommendations concerning new products, methods and technologies that will enhance test efficiencies. Assist in post-implementation and continual improvement efforts to enhance systems and applications. Mentor and coach junior quality engineers.

Requirements:  This position requires a Master's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Will accept a Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with the following tools/technologies/skills: analyzing application failures/defects; designing & implementing automation scripts & strategies; object-oriented programming languages; analyzing business requirements; and continuous integration methodologies. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein.  40hrs/week.
