Job Summary

This position involves managing financial business processes such as project evaluation, activity-based management, budgeting, forecasting, and performance reporting. The role includes establishing long- and short-term financial plans, consolidating detailed budgets and quarterly forecasts for cost centers, business units, and/or strategic business units. You’ll also be responsible for reporting and analyzing business performance, conducting system maintenance, and supporting project evaluations and cost center activity. The scope and number of processes may vary by team, and the role involves coordinating projects, teams, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities

  • Analyze complex financial data to prepare budgets and forecasts for cost centers, business units, or strategic business units. Identify performance improvement opportunities.

  • Report and analyze business performance, including variance reports. Compare actual results to budgets and forecasts, and prepare inputs for monthly board reports.

  • Analyze capital projects and new business opportunities, developing recommendations and alternatives.

  • Use Activity-Based Cost models to analyze costs and find cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with Business Unit leaders to use cost data effectively.

  • Monitor performance in relation to balanced scorecard measures.

  • Drive cost reductions by employing continuous improvement and lean systems methodologies.

  • Foster a positive work environment, supporting organizational initiatives such as training, diversity, work-life balance, and core values.

  • Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives, cross-functional teams, and various projects.

Requirements

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Five years of financial experience in business, public accounting, or financial systems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Concentration in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Experience with SAP
