WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW Lead and manage the national Disaster Casework program, including informing the development, dissemination, and oversight of all program policies, procedures, and training; identifying opportunities for process improvement; and providing support and guidance to Disaster Casework volunteers and staff in divisions and regions on a day-to-day basis and during disaster relief operations. The Senior Program Manager also supports the other Disaster Cycle Services branches with subject matter expertise, as needed.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD Manage all aspects of the Disaster Casework program - encompassing intake and recovery planning services, including the development, dissemination, and oversight of policies, tools, and training to ensure program efficacy and efficiency. Monitor overall program health and key performance indicators against program goals and objectives. Serve as a Disaster Casework subject matter expert within the American Red Cross. Collaborate with staff across Disaster Services to ensure that Disaster Casework program components are supportive of and integrated with other programs to provide holistic guidance and support to the field on client-facing activities (e.g. sheltering, disaster health services, reunification, disaster mental health, disability integration, and disaster spiritual care). In collaboration with the field, recruit, train, and engage Disaster Casework volunteer leaders to advise disaster relief operations, divisions, and regions. Develop and maintain partner and stakeholder relationships to strengthen and support the execution of Disaster Casework services in the field; represent the American Red Cross by serving on national committees, advisory groups, and at national conferences. Develop and manage a volunteer leadership team to provide remote support and guidance to Disaster Casework leaders as needed on disaster relief operations. * Standard Schedule: Must be available to work a standard Eastern Time zone schedule during non-operational periods.
