Our client, a respected Utility Company is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team. Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Dearborn, MI

Pay Range: $95,000 - $105,000

What’s the Job?

• Implementing New Accounting Pronouncements : Assisting with the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and conducting research related to financial statement presentation and disclosures.

• Providing Accounting Guidance : Offering accounting guidance on various matters, researching current and emerging accounting issues, and implementing related accounting policies and procedures.

• External Reporting : Preparing drafts of financial statements and footnotes, and providing information for the preparation of external financial reports in compliance with SEC and other regulatory reporting requirements.

• Collaboration with External Auditors : Working with and providing analysis to external auditors on emerging accounting issues and reporting matters.

• Process Improvement : Supporting the identification of process improvements and assisting with their implementation to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.

What’s Needed?

• Educational Background : A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. An MBA or CPA is preferred.

• Experience : At least five years of experience in auditing, financial accounting, and/or financial reporting. Experience in public accounting and the energy industry is a plus.

• Technical Skills : Comprehensive understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, experience with SAP (Systems, Applications, and Products), and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

• Analytical Abilities : Strong ability to analyze business transactions, conduct accounting research, and prepare detailed financial analysis and whitepapers.

• Soft Skills : Excellent communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently and in teams, and adapt to changing customer requirements and business needs.
