Project Director, Data Centers Category Operations Work Location US- ID 2024-2192 Overview The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Hyper-Scale Project Director of Data Center Construction who will lead and manage large-scale and complex data center projects. This includes overseeing the entire project lifecycle from feasibility, design, construction, and completion. The role requires developing and implementing project strategies, plans, and large-scale budgets. The Project Director is responsible for assembling project delivery teams with the requisite qualifications and experience and working with cross-functional teams to ensure successful initiation, planning, execution, and closure of projects. Location You can be located anywhere in the US, if you are highly willing to travel to our client projects on a long-term basis. Responsibilities Your key responsibilities Project Planning and Strategy: Developing comprehensive project plans, defining scope, goals, and deliverables in alignment with organizational objectives Team Leadership: Leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring effective communication among stakeholders Resource Management: Allocating resources efficiently, managing budgets, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and outcomes Stakeholder Engagement: Communicating with internal and external stakeholders, including executives, clients, and vendors, to ensure alignment and address any concerns Performance Monitoring: Tracking project progress through metrics and reporting, adjusting plans as necessary to meet changing requirements or challenges Quality Assurance: Ensuring that all deliverables meet the required quality standards and compliance regulations Innovation and Improvement: Continuously seeking ways to optimize processes and improve project outcomes through innovative technologies or methodologies Overall, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects that drive significant growth and innovation within the organization and serve our client needs. Qualifications To qualify for the role, you must have A bachelor's degree in engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or other technical discipline and approximately fifteen (15) + of related work experience including five (5) years in a leadership role Proven track record in project management, particularly in the construction industry Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with experience assembling and leading project delivery teams Experience in the following required: managing large-scale and complex data center projects with budgets between $50-300M A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 70+% Ideally, you'll also have Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Strong history of leading, motivating and mentoring cross-functional teams Strong knowledge of construction processes, laws, standards, and regulations Successful background maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes Proficiency in developing and implementing project strategies, plans, and budgets Technologies and methodologies to attain goals Building Information Modeling (BIM): This technology is essential for planning, designing, and managing data center construction projects.
