Minimum Qualifications
5 years of experience in trading, reporting or a financial analysis
Bachelor’s degree in finance, math, computer science, a related field or equivalent experience
Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, including but not limited to, ability to utilize formulas, pivot tables, graphs and charts
Advanced experience with financial data analysis and reporting
Extensive experience with mortgage servicing rights (MSR) valuation
Extensive experience in prepayment/default modeling and related third party models
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using third-party MSR Cashflow tools (Compass, MIAC, QRM, Polypaths)
Expert Knowledge of Excel Modeling
Advanced SQL Proficiency
Job Summary
As an MSR Analyst, you'll analyze business information and trends to inform or make strategic and/or trading decisions. You'll be deeply knowledgeable of financial analysis and default modeling and work to improve MSR hedge strategy and execution based on your findings.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain quantitative/analytic model or tools that estimate the changes in value of various mortgage assets
Design and implement improvements to MSR pricing valuation
Analyze and summarize data, identify trends and concerns and recommend actions as necessary
Create and publish daily team reports based on findings
Drive pricing decisions with limited direction
Develop and calibrate prepayment and credit models used in MSR cashflow valuation
Manage MSR interest rate risk models, formulating and recommending MSR hedge strategies
Analyze daily MSR risk and P&L reports to ensure MSR hedges are performing as expected
Develop and monitor controls related to the valuation of the MSR asset
Serve asamentor to junior analysts
