Job Description

FAA 145 Repair Station is seeking a Multi-craft Maintenance Technician. This position offers $30 - $33/hour and is a day shift role from 7:00 am to 4:30 pm. This is a 6-month contract to hire opportunity. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for hands-on inspecting, maintaining, and repairing plating lines, as well as Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing & HVAC systems. Responsibilities include performing minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting repairs, as well as a wide range of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks. Additional duties involve dismantling and inspecting parts, rebuilding/overhauling and troubleshooting plating line and machine components, servicing and maintaining material handling equipment, and completing inspections of production areas, offices, and laboratories with the Maintenance Manager. The role also includes performing structural work such as carpentry, welding, pipe fitting, sheet metal work, plumbing, and electrical incidental tasks, maintaining consumables and replacement part inventory, and moving and installing equipment.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Detroit, Michigan.

Work Environment

Currently working 50 to 60 hours/week - 5 10-hour shifts, occasional Saturdays. This is a two-person department, working closely with the Maintenance Manager. The job is located on an 8-acre campus in Detroit with 10 buildings.
