Adecco US, Inc. Controller in Detroit, Michigan

Adecco has partnered with our non-manufacturing client in Detroit who is hiring a Controller. This will be a hybrid role, three days onsite.

The Controller leads accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role supports executive decision-making through the preparation and analysis of financial data and manages the accounting team’s day-to-day activities.

Core Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Uphold core company values in all financial operations.

  • Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, treasury, and cost accounting, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies.

  • Safeguard company assets and maintain internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with audits.

  • Provide timely financial reports to senior leadership, offering insights into budget and financial trends.

  • Collaborate with the CFO on financial planning, strategy, and operational improvements.

  • Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of trust and accountability.

  • Support the company’s growth through process improvements and technology optimization.

  • Manage relationships with external auditors and oversee the audit process.

  • Perform other tasks as needed to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 3-5 years of current Controller Experience; 10+ years of total accounting experience

  • Service Industry, not manufacturing experience

Pay Details: $130,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
