Opportunity Resource Fund Chief Operating Officer in Detroit, Michigan

Opportunity Resource Fund *seeks an experienced, dynamic, creative, and empathetic individual to fill this new leadership role *on our team. The Chief Operating Officer serves as a key executive team member and strategic business partner to support OppFund's overall vision and is a key member of the team responsible for successful operations.

Position Summary: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) supports Opportunity Resource Fund's mission by serving as the Program Team leader, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's lending and technical support operations, growth, and impact. The COO fulfills this pivotal role by being a dynamic, strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for driving social change. Responsible for the overall planning, organization, and direction of OppFund's lending and technical support operations, and Justice Fund Initiative programs, the COO draws the lending teams together in a collaborative fashion to ensure talents and opportunities are fully realized.

Compensation & Benefits: $100,000 - $140,000 Full-time, Salary, Exempt

Education: Master's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Public Administration, Communications, Marketing, Economics, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: Oversight of the implementation, evaluation, daily functions, and expansion of impactful small business, real estate development, and single-family lending programs. Working knowledge of federal lending regulations (SBA and/or mortgage lending). Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams. Minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience in non-profit leadership, with a track record of successfully managing organizations of comparable scale and complexity.

Other Requirements: Demonstrated leadership in the management of complex and dynamic organizations as well as broad exposure to fiscal management. Experience in developing and successfully implementing strategic organizational plans. Demonstrates ability to build and foster relationships. Knowledge of the communities OppFund serves and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. Demonstrates a high level of follow through, is detail oriented, thorough, inquisitive, confident, organized, and results driven.
