Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for working on fully automated material handling equipment. This includes conveyors, sorting machines, cranes, transfer machines, palletizers, and shrink wrappers. You will utilize Microsoft Office to update preventive maintenance schedules and work orders, and document activities conducted on equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair on automated equipment

• Troubleshoot PLCs and conduct root cause analysis

• Read schematics to identify equipment faults

• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment

• Fabricate and weld parts as needed

• Operate forklifts and other machinery as required

• Use manual mills and lathes for equipment setup and repair

• Order parts and manage inventory

Essential Skills

• Experience with electrical systems and mechanical maintenance

• Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting

• Ability to read and interpret schematics

• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems

• Experience with HVAC systems

• Preventive maintenance expertise

• Strong troubleshooting skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Fabrication and welding experience

• Experience with parts ordering

• Operation of manual mill and lathe

• Positive attitude during training

Work Environment

You will work within a team of 37 members in a cold storage environment with temperatures ranging from 55°F to -5°F in different parts of the facility. The role involves working around industrial machinery and requires wearing steel toe boots, a coat, and gloves.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.50 - $37.50/hr.
