Accounts Payable Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator who will be responsible for the primary management of vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and cash disbursement vouchers. The role involves reviewing, auditing, coding, and posting invoices into the accounting system, ensuring compliance with established guidelines. The coordinator will also maintain A/P files, prepare various spreadsheets and reports, record journal entries, and support the Finance Department during year-end audits. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong data entry skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Batch and input vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and cash disbursement vouchers into the accounting system.

  • Review, audit, code, and post invoices into the accounting system, identifying unallowable costs in accordance with DCAA established guidelines.

  • Maintain A/P files and various daily, weekly, and monthly A/P related spreadsheets and reports.

  • Record monthly G/L journal entries for account distributions.

  • Prepare monthly A/P adjusting entries and year-end A/P accruals.

  • Research and resolve monthly vendor statements and invoice discrepancies.

  • Support project managers, general accounting, purchasing, and AR with A/P related matters.

  • Provide year-end audit support to the Finance Department.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to adapt to changes in priorities.

  • Well-organized and a team player.

  • 1-3 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience within a Windows-based accounting system.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's/Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • Prior experience with government Accounts Payable is a plus.

  • Customer service focused.

  • ERP knowledge (CostPoint) is a plus, but not required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
