What you'll do here:

The Sr Sales Operations Business Analyst seeks, develops, and helps implement critical initiatives for improved efficiency and productivity for the sales organization through data analysis. The Business Analyst develops standard methodologies for data collection, effectively analyzes business problems, identifies key issues and opportunities, and develops strategic recommendations to enhance sales channel organizational efficiency and profitability. The Business Analyst works cross-functionally with stakeholders to gather and assess business processes and data, and to find opportunities for process optimization. This role reports directly to the Director, Sales Operations and Enablement.

  • Develops and publishes reporting and analytics, implements a validation process, and provides user-friendly outputs for Channel Sales to ensure the goals are met. Helps effort to increase reporting efficiency and effectiveness, including documentation, project plan, and communication. Trains team members on reporting tools.

  • Completes reporting of performance indicators for Sales leadership team, including analysis of performance metrics to help management evaluate success of business development, account management, and sales operations team initiatives.

  • Analyzes data models to deliver logical conclusions based on data within existing platforms (Salesforce, Power BI, internal tools like the Admin Tools, etc.)

  • Performs ad hoc reporting and analysis to support the sales teams. Builds data visualizations that provide relevant insight into large and complex datasets.

  • Gains an in-depth understanding of critical business requirements, finds opportunities for process and sales structure improvement and optimization, and makes recommendations for enhanced business efficiency and revenue generation.

  • Defines and tracks appropriate key performance indicators to measure the efficiency of process and strategic business improvements.

  • Evaluates Salesforce configuration for the sales channels and works with stakeholders to define system requirements and implement changes to optimize sales data collection and reporting to enhance data-driven decision making.

  • Builds, configures, customizes, and automates technology solutions for the sales channels through Salesforce to deliver business value.

  • Creates sales data standards and retention rules. Manages Salesforce data quality.

  • Assists with providing data and recommendations for unique pricing strategies, sales territory structuring, and compensation planning.

  • Develops and maintains detailed business process documents and diagrams.

  • Collaborates cross-functionally (product, technology, marketing, etc.) to ensure alignment with project plans and goals, and reporting data.

  • Works with sales enablement to educate the sales organization on new and changing processes driven by data analysis.

  • Recommends additional tools and resources for data modeling.

  • Works on special projects as assigned.

Skills you will need here:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in business analysis, strategy or management consulting, or other related fields.

  • Salesforce Lightning administration experience, including building and configuring records, workflows, report, and dashboard creation.

  • Proven proficiency in quantitative analysis, with experience in data analysis tools and technologies, such as SQL, Excel, and Power BI.

  • Experience in generating process documentation and reports.

  • Highly resourceful, strategic, and creative problem solver who is self-motivated, embraces change, and works comfortably in a dynamic environment.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Detail-oriented and results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Strong collaboration skills – able to collaborate with people with diverse thoughts and backgrounds.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field.

  • Knowledge of project management processes and tools.

  • Strong working knowledge of relevant Microsoft applications, including Power BI, Excel, etc.

  • Extensive experience with data visualization.

  • High proficiency in technical writing.

The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.

$77,100.00 - $123,300.00 USD
