Trinity Health Sonographer Weekend Package in DES MOINES, Iowa

Shift Hours: Weekends Days

*This position is for relocation and housing stipend depending on your location*

What you will do:

  • Performs Ultrasound procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback, operating ultrasound equipment.

  • Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems.

  • Instructs, trains, supervises, and evaluates student technologists in a positive manner. - Serves as a mentor and resource for other Sonographers.

  • Collaborates with interpreting providers on protocol development and new exams/procedures.

  • Promotes professionalism with the department, hospital, and community; acts as a role model and demonstrates a positive attitude.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of an accredited two-year Ultrasound and/or Vascular Technologist training program.

  • Registered by the ARDMS in a minimum of Abdominal and/or Vascular certifications

  • Maintains active registry status with ARDMS

  • 2 or more years employment at Mercy Medical Center as a Sonographer or 3 or more years Sonography experience.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire,

  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population served within three (3) months of hire.

  • Handle charge responsibilities as needed.
