About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Paralegal to join the Employment Counseling & Litigation Section in the Employment & Investigations Division of the Wells Fargo Legal Department. In this role, you will:
Provide subject matter expertise in a specialized area of law, researches and resolves issues and matters involving the most substantial legal and factual complexity, through examination of documentation, investigation and analysis
Work independently on the most complex assignments, including client inquiries, transactions and projects, claims, disputes, cases and proceedings, and produces concise written materials for clients, attorneys or outside counsel
Support highly complex areas within the department requiring advanced analytical, written and oral communication, and organizational skills
Provide support across functions and business lines
Identify and resolve issues which may impact multiple business lines or the enterprise
Work closely with risk, compliance and audit, responding to reporting inquiries
Engage directly with regulatory or other external agency contacts
Recognize and properly escalate significant matters
Work directly with clients to understand needs and develops strategic plans to identify and resolve issues
Identify underlying issues and works independently on the most complex assignments
Lead initiatives within the Legal Department, including developing or improving key processes
Provide support to attorneys and business lines
Collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve inquiries and issues
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Paralegal experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge in the Legal Discovery and e-Discovery process and ability to engage with Outside Counsel firms as well as internal Legal Discovery Team partners.
Highly proficient at mentoring and coaching junior paralegals in collaborative work environment with ability to effectively communicate a shared vision for success.
High degree of experience with various platforms including: Onit matter management system, Workday, HRHD, EAP, Legal Case Tool and HR Service Now and NetDocuments.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Strong analytical, organizational and research skills
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet deadlines and take direction from attorneys and senior leaders
Advanced knowledge of MS Office software applications, including Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Job Expectations:
Paralegal certification may be required in some states
Position will require onsite presence from any of the required locations listed below

Pay Range:
Los Angeles, CA: $38.65 - $68.75 USD Hourly
St. Louis, MO, Charlotte, NC, Des Moines, IA : $35.14 - $62.45 USD Hourly

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
