Job Summary:

The IT Project Manager I leads the Information Technology, business, and operations units in the implementation of technology solutions in a high-quality cost-effective way, by planning, managing and documenting projects that deliver the desired solution or outcome while keeping the project team and stakeholders fully informed of risks, issues, and progress throughout the duration of the project. The project manager may also function as a Business Systems Analyst for a limited number of applications or projects of a smaller scale. This position will be located within the Project Management Office (PMO) and report to the manager of the PMO but have a dotted line to the Chief Information Officer and the Technology Department.

Primary Functions and/or Responsibilities:

· Works with stakeholders and project team members to interpret project-scoping documents into project deliverables and project plans (per assigned project)

· Prepares and facilitates the gathering of information necessary to build executable project plans and schedules. Updates the project plan and schedule as needed during the project

· Integrates different project plans to ensure critical paths and potential roadblocks are identified

· Interfaces with the vendors as needed to secure Bank resources to keep their portion of the project on schedule

· Provides for methods of tracking and resolving issues, reporting on late and slipping tasks, facilitating decision-making and reporting on decisions made

· Prepares executive reporting of progress on major projects

· Provides for conversion/implementation support including the creation and staffing of a command center (if necessary) and the creation of a playbook that outlines the necessary conversion/implementation tasks that must be completed in sequence to be successful. Also provides conversion/implementation status reporting (per assigned project)

· Ensures that all projects are done in a manner that extends and complies with the Bank's Information Security Plan, Change Management Policy and Business Continuity Plan. Also verifies that projects are reviewed for compliance with state and federal laws and regulations

· Ensures that the project documents are sufficient to provide for the auditing of the project following completion

· Leads multiple projects simultaneously and has the ability to multi-task and control project deliverables and expectations

· Meets with vendors, customers and Bank employees to facilitate project task execution to keep projects on schedule

· Functions as the primary project communication link between vendors and bank staff on projects he/she is leading. Coordinates all vendor communication on these projects by coordinating team calls with vendor or direct communication with vendor and dissemination of notes from these calls

· Assists Project Owners/Sponsors/PMO manager in the preparation of documentation to be presented to the Project Governance Committee

· Follows the project management methodology established for the bank and ensures other members of the project team also follow the project management methodology

· Other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

· Four year degree in Business, Management Information Systems, or equivalent experience preferred

· At least 3 years of experience managing technology projects (the banking industry is preferred but not required), including projects driven by third party vendors

· 2-3 years of experience in a financial institution is desirable, working with the technology solutions utilized within the Business Unit supported or their equivalents

· Advanced computer skills and in-depth knowledge of different operating systems, network administration and service desk administration

· Thorough understanding of information technology concepts, terminology, and approaches

· Project management certification desired, but not required

· 2+ years managing people in the execution of projects

Specific Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

· Strong meeting management skills

· Working knowledge of the U.S. payments systems and financial networks, including check clearing is preferred

· Working knowledge of Banking Software Applications is desired, but not required

· Working knowledge of Banking/Financial Institution regulatory requirements is preferred

· Working knowledge of all aspects of Information technology operations

Hiring Salary Range

The hiring range below reflects targeted base salary. Actual compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s prior related experience & education and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to base salary, most positions are also eligible to participate in our annual bonus program. Select positions may also be eligible to earn incentives and/or commissions. Hiring Salary Range: $73,000 – 90,000
