Job Description

Join our team as a Technician responsible for general site cleanup and material handling after demolition work is completed. Your role will involve loading and transporting materials, ensuring cleanliness, and adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform general interior and exterior site cleanup after demolition.

• Load concrete into wheelbarrows and transport it to dumpsters.

• Haul and dispose of materials into dumpsters.

• Sweep, vacuum, and maintain site cleanliness.

• Arrive on time for work from Monday to Saturday and be reliable.

Essential Skills

• 6+ months of construction, labor, or demolition experience.

• Ability to work Monday to Saturday, arriving by 6:45 am each day.

• Capable of lifting 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs if needed.

• Able to stand and work upright in various elements for 8-10 hours per day.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with demo, demolition, cleanup, labor, moving, lifting, and sweeping.

• Experience in construction or landscaping is beneficial.

• Must have steel-toed boots.

• Able to push/pull 50 lbs regularly.

Work Environment

Work with a leading environmental remediation and demolition firm in the Midwest. Meet daily at the shop at 6:45 am to carpool to job sites. Expect to work on multiple projects, with most work being local but some requiring overnight travel. All necessary PPE is provided, and candidates must have steel-toed boots. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 7 am to 5:30 pm, with potential for extended hours and Saturday work. Overnight travel may be required, with hotel and per diem covered.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $13.00 - $16.00/hr.
