Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
Data entry.
Filing and organizing Medical Records.
Answer phones.
Organizing paperwork.
Uploading files in a timely manner.
Other business office and clinical functions as needed.
Act as a liaison between patients, clinical or medical teammates.
Maintains positive communications with the medical staff members and their office personnel.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks within established deadlines.
Call pre-operative patients to collect health/medical history and verify they are a candidate. for outpatient surgery.
Clear any medical concerns with the medical director.
Maintain competencies to function in MA role within specific area.
Ability to work flexible hours as needed and/or requested by Manager.
Promote the mission, vision, and values of SCA.
Comply with the SCA and facility policy and procedures.
Notify the RN of any changes in patient’s status and responses.
Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with members of the team and other stakeholders.
Act as a patient advocate and maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
Comply with all SCA and facility policies and procedures, regulatory and accreditation standards and professional guidelines when providing patient care.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification.
High School Graduate or equivalent.
One year of Medical Assistant / Nursing Assistant/ Patient Care Tech experience preferred.
Certified Medical Assistant (MA)/Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Patient Care (PCT) preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
USD $16.00/Hr. USD $24.48/Hr.
