Griffin Health Donor Operations and Stewardship Associate in Derby, Connecticut

Description

Main Function:

  • Supports the work of the Development Fund and is responsible for maintaining processes, systems, and information relating to donor giving as well as generating and formatting donor reports using a donor database.

  • This role ensures strong attention to detail is utilized in acknowledging and communicating with donors.

  • This role also helps to facilitate donor research report requests, and provides overall business and special event administrative support for the department.

  • Manage the computer, database, and filing systems necessary to support gift cultivation, solicitation, processing, tracking, and stewardship.

  • Responsible for all gift tracking and reporting.

  • Process and track all pledges and matching gifts.

  • Process gift acknowledgments in a timely manner.

  • Provide research reports (from Raiser’s Edge or other), track event records, facilitate overall database management and report generation.

  • Create and maintain mailing lists and work in conjunction with mailing houses to support events, appeals, and other donor solicitation and stewardship activities.

  • Working with fundraising staff, assist in fulfilling donor stewardship obligations of the Fund. Assist in preparation of forms and supplemental materials for proposals and reports.

  • Serve as the primary contact for the administrative functions relating to fundraising activities and office management.

  • Maintains responsibility for attendance/reliability to ensure that the Hospital is operated in an efficient and cost effective manner.

  • Contributes to the mission of the organization by supporting the Employee Philosophy, Planetree Model of Care, and Organizational Goals.

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED. Bachelors preferred.

Experience:

  • Experience in working with Raiser’s Edge; expertise in MS Word and Excel.

  • Experience in financial reporting a plus.

  • Must exercise good judgment, show initiative, handle sensitive and confidential data in a trustworthy manner.

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

  • Discretion, maturity and composure, especially under pressure.

  • Ability to establish priorities and juggle numerous assignments at one time.

  • High standards, detail oriented and a strong sense of responsibility.

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a development office/department preferred.

  • Interest in/knowledge of healthcare and hospitals.
