Job Title: Saw Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Saw Operator for a 1st shift position (5am to 3pm, Monday to Thursday, with Friday and Saturday as needed). The ideal candidate must have experience reading tape measures to cut stock at precise lengths (1/16th inch) and running saws like band saws or circular saws. This role involves cutting stock up to 36 inches in diameter, interpreting blueprints/shop drawings, and figuring out the optimal way to cut raw material to maximize output. You will operate machinery in accordance with training documents, understand machine controls, read blueprints, and have knowledge of tools, cutting speeds, feed rates, and depth of cuts. Proper installation of saw blades, use of tools for setup, loading/unloading parts, and machine adjustments are required. Good math and measurement skills are essential. This is a temp-to-hire position, with drug testing and physicals provided.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Denver, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Graphite machine shop. Very dirty and potentially dusty environment. May be cold in winter and hot in summer. Team environment with typically 5 employees per shift. Customers include NASA, with products used in Mars exploration missions. Company provides uniforms (once hired direct) and showers for cleanup. Smaller family-owned company with a supportive family environment.
