Primary Physical Work Address
This is a Remote/Hybrid position - Work is primarily performed from a home office, however the selected candidate will report to the office at 1120 Lincoln Street, Suite 801 - Denver, CO one or more days a week as well as other locations throughout the State for meetings, trainings and projects as directed by the supervisor.

The mission of the Colorado Energy & Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) is to regulate the development and production of oil and gas, deep geothermal resources, the capture and sequestration of carbon, and the underground storage of natural gas in a manner that protects public health, safety, welfare, the environment and wildlife resources.
ECMC’s Strategic Development Unit is responsible for:
Managing the strategic development of ECMC, including development of strategic plans, projects, and programs including leadership and workforce development
Developing and overseeing all ECMC internal strategic communications
Identifying the need for additional positions
Identifying the need for and developing shared services, such as information accessibility, document protocols and repository, training, organizational and professional development
Personnel performance and development
Leading organizational change management (OCM) efforts
Developing leadership and organizational resilience and succession planning

This position exists to work with the Strategic Development Unit Manager to support the Manager Team and to provide technical, logistical and administrative support to manage meetings, travel and outside engagement events on behalf of the Management team as well as providing administrative support to ECMC staff.
Management Team Support :
This position performs technical, logistical and administrative support to the Manager Unit of 13 Managers including facilitating their in-person, hybrid and remote meetings. This position will also make travel arrangements for staff who don’t have their own purchase cards.
Plans and coordinates internal and external meetings on behalf of Managers including yearly external training, staff meetings and external meetings as required, including with Zoom and other video conferencing software and manage conference room booking
Travel planning and logistics for Managers and staff
Determines best and most efficient way to accomplish special tasks and projects that have been assigned to or initiated by the Management Team
Manages multiple tasks simultaneously with various timelines and priorities which requires attention to detail, good organizational skills, and excellent follow through
This position follows fiscal rules regarding business purchases, travel eligibility, and other purchase requests
External Engagement Meeting Support :
This position will work closely with the Community Relations Unit and Manager to perform logistical and administrative support for ECMC’s external engagement initiatives. They will a ssist with the planning and execution of external engagement events such as off-site Hearings and Community Engagement meetings.
Collaborates with the Community Engagement Team and Hearings units to prepare and review contracts to determine needs for various events including food, venue set up, and onsite venue preparation and coordination
Books and arranges payment for the venue, catering, security, childcare, translation services and other necessary event components for the meetings/events
This position must be very flexible to accommodate many changes in the event planning cycle and be willing and able to make changes with little notice.
Strategic Development Unit Responsibilities:
Supports Strategic Development Unit strategic initiatives through team collaboration, employee correspondence, special meetings, or through special projects

Minimum Qualifications:
Three (3) years of executive level administrative and operational support service experience.
OR
A combination of related education in a field such as business administration, education, project management, organizational development, or/and executive level administrative and operational support service experience equal to three (3) years.
