National Jewish Health Ultrasound Technologist - Pool/PRN in Denver, Colorado

National Jewish Health is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to join our outpatient imaging team! This position will have a high level impact in the diagnosis and treatment of a range of common and unusual respiratory, cardiac, immune, and related disorders. Ultrasound Technologist on our team perform a variety of abdominal and vascular ultrasound studies.

Great Perk! This position works days (as needed), Monday - Friday with no weekends or holidays.

Position Summary

Performs quality general and vascular ultrasound procedures in accordance with standards set by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). This position works within the interdisciplinary team to provide safe and personalized care for patients.

Essential Duties

Performs high quality general and vascular ultrasound procedures to support accurate diagnosis while maintaining high quality patient care. Assists Radiologists with ultrasound guided biopsies as required including using sterile procedures. Prepares and researches ultrasound protocols for the following days' schedule. Completes checklists, writes clear narratives and/or enters data into appropriate systems. Documents and communicates patient related information thoroughly and accurately. Uses hospital information systems proficiently including but not limited to; EMR, scheduling, RIS and PACS software applications.

Other Duties

Performs as back-up to staff absences and vacancies, as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Successful completion of an approved ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) program required. Associate's Degree preferred. Work Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience working in general ultrasound required. Six (6) months experience performing ultrasound
