Robert Half Systems Administrator in Denver, Colorado
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Denver, Colorado. This role is integral in maintaining the computer systems and network infrastructure of our organization. You will be collaborating with various teams, such as IT, operations, and security, to guarantee the smooth and efficient operation of our systems. Your knowledge and skills in systems administration and infrastructure management are essential in meeting the organization's technology needs and optimizing system performance.
Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and upgrade computer hardware, software, and operating systems to ensure optimal system performance.
• Carry out regular system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades.
• Provide technical support to end-users on hardware, software, and system-related issues, maintaining a high level of customer service and responsiveness.
• Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data from unauthorized access, threats, and vulnerabilities.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security, identifying and resolving system issues, bottlenecks, and vulnerabilities promptly.
• Create and maintain system documentation, including configuration guides, procedures, and troubleshooting resources.
• Share knowledge and best practices with the IT team and end-users, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations and changes.
• Coordinate system upgrades and migrations, liaising with stakeholders to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth transition.
• Test and validate upgraded systems to ensure compatibility and functionality, managing user access controls.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions, monitoring system logs and performing security audits. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role
• Proven expertise in Cisco Technologies
• Proficiency in Cloud Technologies
• Experience with Dell Technologies
• Knowledge of Firewall Technologies
• Familiarity with AB Testing procedures
• Proficiency in using Active Directory
• Experience with Backup Technologies
• Strong understanding of Computer Hardware
• Proficiency in VMware software
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team and independently
