LRE Water Staff Accountant in Denver, Colorado
We're Hiring! LRE Water is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant with at least 2 years of accounting experience based out of our Denver headquarters. The Staff Accountant will report to the Accounting Manager and support a growing organization with multiple offices across the United States. The ideal candidate is dedicated to serving the needs of staff and our clients by applying their accounting knowledge to a variety of assignments.

Responsibilities Receive, process, and verify invoices: This may include entering invoices into the AP system, coding or uploading them, and verifying and matching them Maintain accurate records of transactions: This may include filing and maintaining supplier records and researching paid invoices for departments Process payments: This may include authorizing and scheduling payments to vendors, preparing checks, and printing and mailing checks Set up and maintain projects in Deltek ERP system Prepare complex invoices for clients Perform other ad hoc tasks: This may include responding to vendor inquiries and preparing and issuing 1099s at year end Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications B.S. in Accounting Two plus years of accounting experience Must have attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple projects Excellent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills Aptitude for working independently and within a team in a collaborative environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs and must have advanced Excel skills Strong Mathematical skills Understanding of basic principles of finance and accounting Desired Qualifications Experience in the professional service consulting industry Experience with Deltek ERP software Experience with cost accounting Experience with client invoicing Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to task-switch throughout the day while organizing time and priorities to effectively meet deadlines. Ability to perform a task while paying close attention to details Participates in solving problems and making decisions. Presents and expresses ideas and information clearly, concisely, and effectively orally and in writing. Is aware of, responds to, and considers the needs, points of views, and capabilities of others. Establishes courses of action for self to accomplish specific goals (e.g., establishes action plans). Considers a wide range of alternatives, including innovative or creative approaches, and adapts the strategy as needed. Provides advice and assistance to help others accomplish their work. Sets realistic time frames for goals and follows up. Works well independently and as part of a team.
Total Compensation: The starting pay range for this position is $60,000 - $75,000/annually depending upon years of experience and education. Pay is negotiable for a higher level of experience. LRE Water reserves the right to ay more or less than the posted salary range depending on experience. LRE Water also distributes bonuses and 401(k) contributions based on annual company profitability. Employer paid benefits increase total compensation by approximately 20%. Additionally, LRE Water supports training and professional development activities for all staff and offers discretionary bonus opportunities as recognition for performance, earning a professional credential, speaking engagements or publication. LRE Water offers a hybrid work environment that promotes flexibility for our employees and encourages work/life balance. This role will be based out of the Denver, Colorado office with the flexibility to work 1 to 2 days/week remotely.
Travel Requirements Although rare, some travel opportunities may be available to visit satellite offices across the United States.
