Description
Robert Half is partnering with a growing Construction Company on a Senior SEC Accountant opening. The Senior SEC Accountant will report to the SEC Accounting Manager and work closely with the Director. Accountant - SEC
As a Senior Accountant specializing in SEC reporting, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting for our construction projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to the preparation of financial statements, disclosures, and reports required for submission to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This position offers an opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment while supporting our company's growth.
Key Responsibilities:
SEC Reporting: Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with SEC regulations (Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and other filings).
Footnotes and Disclosures: Draft and review financial footnotes and disclosures to ensure they meet SEC requirements and accurately represent the company's financial position and performance.
XBRL Tagging: Manage XBRL tagging and mapping processes for SEC filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
Technical Accounting: Research and interpret complex accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842) and assess their impact on financial reporting.
SOX Compliance: Participate in Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance efforts related to financial reporting controls and documentation.
Liaison with External Auditors: Collaborate with external auditors during the quarterly and annual audit process to provide necessary documentation and explanations.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and efficiencies within the financial reporting function.
Requirements
3+ years of overall general accounting experience, SEC accounting experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Strong time management skills preferred
