The following positions within Inpatient Adolescent Psychiatry, Inpatient Adult Psychiatry, Psychiatric Emergency Services, CARES, and Outpatient Behavioral Health Services are offering the opportunity to enroll in a new program offering a cash incentive to recognize your work treating patients with substance use disorders. This program is sponsored through the ACCESS (Advancing Careers, Competencies, and Equity in Substance Treatment Services) grant. Employees must be >0.6 FTE to be eligible. 50% of the bonus will be received 90 days after signing the program contract.
- Registered Nurses (RNs) may earn up to $7,500 by December 2024
- Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024
- Care Navigators may earn up to $3,500 by December 2024
Job Summary
Provides clinical neuropsychological assessment in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Functions as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team and provides clinical guidance to students, residents and fellows. Participates as a member of Behavioral Health Services and the Psychology Training Program including teaching for the predoctoral internship and other psychology trainees as needed. This position requires fluency in Spanish and English, as the provider will evaluate bilingual individuals, as well as monolingual Spanish and English speakers.
Essential Functions:
Neuropsychological Assessment * Provide neuropsychological assessment (e.g., neurocognitive, ability, achievement, and personality testing) to individuals referred by providers within and external to the Denver Health system. * Review prior records and radiological reports, and integrate them with test results and interview data, as appropriate. * Provide timely written documentation of assessment findings and recommendations in the patient medical record, as appropriate. * Write professional neuropsychological reports in a timely fashion. (40%) Consultation * Provide consultation regarding neuropsychological and psychological issues to inpatient and outpatient medical services as well as referring treatment providers as warranted by referred cases. * Provide recommendations regarding intervention, treatment, and/or rehabilitation strategies as requested by the referring team or treatment provi * Provide guidance to psychology practicum students, psychology predoctoral residents, and psychology postdoctoral fellows in collaboration with the Psychology Training Directors and other training faculty. * Participate in activities within Behavioral Health Services.
(40%) Education and academic activities * Participate in teaching as part of the training faculty of the Division of Psychology. * Participate in academic efforts in research and in professional writing. * Promotes positive interpersonal (customer) relationships with fellow employees, physicians, patients and visitors. (20%)
Education:
Doctorate Degree PhD or PsyD from an accredited program in a relevant psychology specialty including an accredited internship, preferably with a focus in neuropsychology Required and Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program Two-year formal post-doctoral fellowship/residency in neuropsychology meeting currently accepted training guidelines (e.g., Houston Conference, 1998) Required and Post Graduate Diploma or Certificate Program Board Certification or eligible for Board Certification in Clinical Neuropsychology through the American Board of Professional Psychology Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge in domains relevant to neuropsychological assessment including: general psychology, clinical psychology, brain-behavior relationships, and neuropsychological foundations.
