A core responsibility is educating customers on the value proposition of AWS through training sessions, deep architectural discussions, and cloud acceleration programs.
You will drive revenue growth by formulating and executing sales strategies in partnership with the AWS Sales team. This involves mobilizing internal AWS resources and the partner ecosystem to ensure successful application/service builds and migrations onto AWS. Additionally, you will capture and share best practice knowledge across AWS, including authoring customer-facing content like whitepapers and blog posts.
The ideal candidate has a passion for cloud computing with a proven track record in technology consulting, solutions architecture, or pre-sales engineering. You must be broadly competent across infrastructure, security, DevOps, databases, app development, analytics, and deep expertise in at least two areas. The ability to connect technology to measurable business value is critical. Strong interpersonal skills are required to effectively communicate with all customer stakeholders from developers to CXOs.

Ability to think strategically about complex technical and business challenges.
Build deep relationships to become a customers' trusted advisor for their critical workloads in support of their digital transformation/journey to the cloud.
Drive business engagements to develop technical strategies for complex enterprise systems' migration to the cloud.
Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure they design solutions for resiliency, security, and cost optimization.
Collaborate across the AWS teams to drive and shape new solutions and mechanisms for repeatable customer business outcomes.
Represent and promote AWS within the Telecommunications, Enterprise, and Service Provider communities.
Assist Partners in designing and implementing large-scale network transformations programs and solutions.
Capture and share best-practice knowledge for deploying, running and managing solutions on AWS.
Contribute to AWS internal and customer-facing publications such as white-papers and blogs as a means of scaling your knowledge.
Influence cloud services roadmap, by acting as a liaison between customers, service engineering teams, and support to address customer needs.
A day in the life
In this role, your typical day will involve partnering with customers, AWS Sales teams, and internal AWS groups to craft highly scalable, flexible and resilient cloud architectures that solve customer business challenges and accelerate their adoption of AWS services. You will link your technical expertise to tangible solutions, defining and creating cloud-native reference architectures.
A core part of your role is acting as a trusted customer advocate, helping organizations understand best practices for cloud-based solutions. You will shape strategies to build mindshare and broaden the use of AWS across customer organizations, utilizing your ability to think strategically about business, products and technical complexities.
Your creativity will be channeled into developing new architectural patterns, best practices and technical content to share across AWS in the form of whitepapers, code samples, blog posts and more. You will evangelize AWS technology through workshops, user groups, public speaking engagements, online videos and conferences.
Your day will strike a balance between customer meetings, working on solutions, continuous learning and knowledge sharing. The AWS Solutions Architecture team provides an open environment with self-paced learning, instructor-led training, hands-on projects, job shadowing and mentoring opportunities to expand your AWS services expertise. You'll bring an insatiable curiosity to understand how technology works and achieve outcomes that delight customers.
