Your opportunity
Key Responsibilities: Calculate and process employee payrolls; perform key reconciliations to ensure accuracy of payments.
Ensure accurate payroll payment to employees across multiple jurisdictions.
Calculate and withhold employee taxes accurately, based on current tax rates and regulations.
Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll laws and regulations, and stay updated on changes to tax rates, minimum wage laws, and other factors affecting payroll.
Prepare and submit payroll reports as required, including tax filings and reports on employee earnings, withholdings.
Address and resolve any payroll-related issues or discrepancies, including incorrect payments, missed deductions, or employee queries regarding their pay.
Work with external payroll related vendors, as applicable.
Utilize payroll software efficiently to process payroll, generate reports, and maintain records, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Provide collaborative support to HR, Shares Team, Tax & Accounting teams on payroll matters when required.
Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies in payroll records with guidance and transparency, as well as, provide assistance in responding to inquiries timely as needed.
Support cross-training and/or redistribution of when required to achieve the overall goal of the team

Must have skills
Significant payroll processing experience
Ability to work under tight deadlines, extended hours may be necessary.
Analytical skills with attention to detail
Honesty, transparency, integrity & confidentiality
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Works well in team environment
Understands the importance of established processes and checklists with ability to identify deficiencies & provides enhancements
Ability to identify problems and respond to employees & other internal clients timely
Ability to work with little supervision and exercise good judgment
Previous experience in payroll processing or a similar role.
Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, proficiency in payroll software, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
High level of integrity and reliability.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with employees and management.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Problem-solving skills to address and resolve payroll issues efficiently.
Nice to have skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
Certification from the American Payroll Association, such as the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC), is advantageous.
Experience with processing payroll in-house
SAP or EC/ECP experience
Accounting experience
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Compensation information
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through February 28, 2025.
Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
