R&D Test Kitchen Cook

Within our Corporate GRDQ / Test Kitchen team located in Denver Leprino is seeking an R&D Test Kitchen Cook to help expand our product innovation and quality initiatives! We take pride in creating exceptional dairy products, which is why we invest in talent, technology, and continuous improvement.

At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $21.64 and $24.34. This position has an annual target bonus of 3.5%.

Prepare and organize cheese samples for evaluation and customer submissions.

Conduct product evaluations, documenting results to support product quality and development.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the test kitchen, warehouse workspace, and R&D storage areas.

Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety guidelines.

Support plant trials by preparing materials and assisting with test procedures.

Participate in customer dinners, trade shows, and training events, ensuring a professional and engaging presentation.

Safely operate kitchen and pilot plant equipment, such as ovens, shredders, and mixers.

Communicate observations and challenges to the Test Kitchen Manager to support process improvements.

Manage inventory levels of necessary supplies to maintain an efficient workspace.

Access and utilize internal and external databases for product research and development needs.

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications): A bachelors degree in food science or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience. Experience working in the food industry with a focus on food science or food safety. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. The ability to work a weekly 3/2 (office/home) hybrid schedule.

Experience using SAP or similar inventory and documentation systems.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
