About the team Worldpay powers 2.2 trillion payments annually across 146 countries in over 135 separate currencies with over a million-merchants supported globally. Worldpay is the largest acquirer by volume globally, we provide a reliable, secure, and scalable payments platform 24x7 365 day a year.
Being part of the 200 strong Infrastructure Services organization, you'll help to engineer and deliver the core infrastructure services that power our payments platform. We're responsible for running some very critical systems, maintaining 20,000 servers via an automation platform, thousands of databases and petabytes of storage hosted from our data centers and public cloud.
We are looking for talented individuals to join the Infrastructure Services organization; you'll be a self-starter, possess an analytical mindset and be a change agent.
What you'll own As a Public Cloud AWS Architect, your role will involve a variety of responsibilities aimed at designing and managing cloud infrastructure.
Designing Cloud Solutions: 1. Create scalable, secure, and reliable cloud architectures using AWS services. 2. Develop architectural blueprints and detailed documentation.
Implementation: 1. Implement cloud solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. 2. Automate deployment processes and manage CI/CD pipelines.
Migration: 1. Migrate AWS accounts into new AWS accounts 2. Lead the migration of on-premises applications and data to the AWS cloud. 3. Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migrations.
Security: 1. Implement and maintain security best practices and compliance standards. 2. Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
Optimization: 1. Monitor cloud performance and optimize for cost, performance, and scalability. 2. Implement monitoring and logging solutions to track system health.
Collaboration: 1. Work closely with development teams to integrate cloud solutions. 2. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
Innovation: 1. Stay updated with the latest AWS services and industry trends. 2. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve cloud infrastructure.
Support: 1. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure. 2. Provide ongoing support and maintenance for cloud environments.
Key Activities: Architectural Design: Drafting and reviewing architectural designs to ensure they meet business requirements. Code Development: Writing and reviewing code for cloud infrastructure and automation scripts. Meetings: Participating in meetings with stakeholders to discuss project requirements and progress. Documentation: Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for cloud architectures and processes. Training: Conducting training sessions for team members on cloud technologies and best practices. What you bring AWS Expertise: 5+ years of In-depth knowledge of AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc working in similar roles.
