Job Title: Per Diem HR Investigator

FLSA Status: Part Time - non-exemptReports to: HR Director

Schedule: Part-Time/As Needed

Supervises: N/A

Rate of Pay: $30/hour

Hours per Week: 29

Benefits: Standard; Part-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

  • Sick leave benefit – 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual and availability begins at hire; sick time accrual is pro-rated for part-time hours.)

  • Vacation benefit – 10 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0385 hours for each hour worked, excluding overtime (accrual begins at hire but may not be used until the completion of six months of employment; vacation accrual is pro-rated for part time hours.)

  • Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service) with at least 21 hours worked per week.

Function

Under the direction of the HR Director, the Per Diem (As Needed) HR Investigator works to resolve conflict as an investigator and mediator in situations internally on behalf of Employees and Supervisors, working to bring the two parties to a mutually agreed upon decision in line with The Salvation Army policies, procedures, and minutes. The Per Diem HR Investigator will assist with related people management needs of the IM Division to support the HR Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under the direction of the HR Director, the Per Diem HR Investigator will work on all matters of Conflict Resolution, Investigation and Mediation as it pertains to Employee/Supervisory needs within the IM Division.

  • This includes tracking (spreadsheet), regular updates, communication to all parties, location visits (if needed), and compliance with all TSA (The Salvation Army) policies, minutes, and procedures.

  • Regular training and mentoring with Supervisors as needed and quarterly topics.

  • Proactive culture and team building projects include training sessions for locations. This includes ongoing tracking and assessment of need.

  • Using the employee training vendor (Pryor), to manage employee training needs. This includes mapping out position management training by position for onboarding and orientation. (This excludes THQ mandated OTIS training)

  • The Per Diem HR Investigator may be assigned to work on special projects for the department as assigned, when available based on Investigation Counts.

  • Review Exit Interviews for Items of note/concern and tracking purposes to review with HR Director monthly.

  • The Per Diem HR Investigator will work with the HR team to support the people management needs of the IM Division as is relatable to investigations.

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • Continued employment will be contingent on a biennial (every 2 years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army’s policies.

  • For positions requiring driving, as this one does, a minimum of 21 years of age for insurance provision, along with the possession of a valid in-state driver’s license is required.
