Your opportunity

  • Perform analytical reviews of daily Fund NAVs using an exception-based system, researching and validating exceptions.

  • Perform additional periodic reviews to ensure other reported Fund accounting data, such as Fund yields, are accurate and consistent with US GAAP and regulatory guidance.

  • Research and validate daily exceptions highlighted by the NAV oversight system.

  • Address identified issues to ensure resolution, including proposing and/or implementing process improvements to strengthen controls to prevent error reoccurrence.

  • Propose changes to automate manual processes, including testing and implementation of new exception-based analytics in the NAV oversight system or other vendor applications.

  • Monitor expenses for accuracy in the NAV as well as regulatory publications in conjunction with fund expense subject matter experts.

  • Assist with coordination and analyze pro-forma financial data for new or existing product changes.

  • Produce periodic reporting information on behalf of the team for both internal and external distribution.

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external business partners, including Fund service providers; serve as a point of contact for Fund related inquiries, escalating where appropriate.

  • Partner with external Fund service providers to identify operational and accounting issues and propose solutions to ensure the service providers meet service expectations, quality and timeliness metrics.

  • Review processes, procedures and controls to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to fund oversight best practices.

  • Subject matter expert for oversight tools.

  • Assume additional duties as assigned.

    Nice to have skills

  • Demonstrated technical understanding of fund accounting and reporting for US mutual funds, ETFs, and non-registered products.

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple projects

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Interest in automation tools such as PowerBI, Alteryx etc.

    Must have skills

  • Five years related US mutual fund, accounting and/or audit experience required; experience performing oversight of a third-party administrator preferred

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent required

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

    Compensation information

    The base salary range for this position is $85,000-$100,000. This range is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different. This role will remain open through July 31, 2024.

    Annual Bonus Opportunity: Position is eligible to receive an annual discretionary bonus award from the profit pool. The profit pool is funded based on Company profits. Individual bonuses are determined based on Company, department, team and individual performance.
