Mobile Architect ( ONSITE)

BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Mobile Architect for an ONSITE opportunity in DENVER CO.

Position Title: MOBILE ARCHITECT

Location: Denver CO (ONSITE) Anticipated Start Date: - ASAP

Expected Duration: 6 Months Contract

Job Type: Contract and Remote (Anywhere in USA) Pay Range: $45/hr - $50/hr.

Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).

Qualifications: Bachelor's, degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications. 5+ years hands-on experience in Object-Oriented Design (OOD), Unified Modeling Language (UML), stateless distributed architectures, and designing for scalability and performance, especially within Xamarin, iOS, Android, .Net and WCF/Web API technologies or similar. Clear understanding of event-driven and delegate-based design paradigms. Demonstrated experience with asynchronous programming, threading, and related design patterns, and anti-patterns. Knowledge of Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), its principles and patterns at an enterprise level. Experience in data modeling techniques and knowledge and applicability of various normal forms. Experience in and knowledge of multi-tier and cross-platform architectures driven towards mobility. Experience with architecting mobile enterprise solutions based on REST web services. Experience in developing of IT architecture plans and software development methodologies. Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and reasoning skills to earn support of business leaders, technology leaders, colleagues, and vendor representatives. Capable of building sustainable relationships with colleagues and key individuals. Creativity and ability to think outside-the-box while defining sound and practical solutions. Desire to take the initiative, moving projects/ideas forward with clarity. Adept negotiation skills in high-pressure situations. Leadership skills to indirectly lead cross-functional teams towards common solutions. Experience with the following Technologies/Methodologies required: Strong knowledge and understanding of iOS, Android, and any other platforms mobile development techniques. Working knowledge of web-based technologies: HTTP, AJAX, HTML5, JavaScript/jQuery and CSS3 a plus. Expert and demonstrated knowledge of the following platforms: Xamarin iOS, Xamarin Android, and Xamarin Forms. Messaging architectures SOAP and REST with JSON text encoding. Clarity - Tool administration, configuration and maintenance Experience with the following Technologies/Methodologies preferred: Microsoft .Net, WCF, Web API, and complementary business layer and front-end technologies. Microsoft SQL Server and other most common backend Microsoft technologies Agile development environment, especially SCRUM using JIRA, TFS, or VSTS. Messaging architectures (EAI), Excel Services, BizTalk, SAP XI, XML, SOAP, and Web Services GPS, location-based services, and other device hardware interactions. Usage of automated build and/or unit testing and integration systems using Calabash Experience with Microsoft and Apple frameworks, with extensive knowledge of technical design patterns and anti-patterns. Experience with unstructured data, such as with MongoDB or Couchbase. Expert knowledge and experience using the following SDKs: iOS, Android, Windows Phone. Cross platform mobile development using the Xamarin platform. Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or e uivalent exper
  • Five (5) plus years of native mobile engineering experience working with iOS and Android
  • Expertise in designing testable software and building large scale, complex applications
  • A well-rounded understanding of a variety of mobile app frameworks and web services
  • Working knowledge of common build tools
  • An understanding of iOS performance optimization best practices
  • An understanding of hardware compatibility and versioning strategy
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to apply your skillset broadly and expand it to meet client needs
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
