Managed Care Contract Coordinator, Hospital Contracting

Location: UCHealth UCHlth Lowry Admin, US:CO: Denver

Department: UCHlth Hospital Contracting

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $25.80 - $38.70 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:

This is a full-time position on UCHealth's Hospital Contracting team based in Denver, Colorado. This is a hybrid position...work-from-home/on-site. You must be available for on-site presence as needed. Assists with coordination of contract development and administration. Evaluates contract information and reports on contract records. May educate staff, physicians, and management in addressing contract issues and ensuring contract requirements are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates problem-solving, coordinates report development, and serves as liaison to third party payors and system departments. Maintains operational standards of managed care contracts, including facility credentialing.

  • Interprets complex contracts to maintain compliance. Identifies risks and options to correct or minimize risk. Reviews and updates contracts, monitors all third party payor contracts for adherence to contract terms. Implements new managed care contract terms.

  • Updates and maintains contract information in the managed care files and contract database, contracts, rate sheets, and payer policies; updates information for the managed care intranet web page. Coordinates pay-for-performance and Centers of Excellence initiatives with third party payors and internal departments. Develops business and payor relationships to enhance market share.

  • Negotiates agreements under supervision of Director.

Requirements:

  • High School or GED.

  • 2 years of experience in physician reimbursement, customer service or insurance in the healthcare industry.

  • 2 years in a position related to managed care in a hospital, physician organization or managed care organization.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, public health or finance.
