CTG Infrastructure Specialist System Administration in Denver, Colorado

CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Specialist System Administration opening for our client in Denver, CO.

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

  • Provide technical support for cloud-based solutions, ensuring smooth operations across a variety of applications, DevOps, middleware, security, and infrastructure components.

  • Play a key role in building and setting up new development tools, infrastructure, and networking solutions.

  • Maintain and deploy cloud applications across development, testing, and production environments hosted on Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.

  • Ensure high availability and reliability of cloud-based infrastructure and applications.

  • Administer and configure load balancing and Content Delivery Network (CDN) options provided by various cloud vendors, such as Azure Load Balancer and Application Gateway.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure and application issues.

  • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for optimization.

  • Implement and manage security measures to protect cloud infrastructure and applications.

  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members.

Skills:

  • Expertise in administering cloud-based environments, including Windows, Linux, and Unix servers.

  • Strong experience with DevOps tools and practices.

  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure services (Azure, AWS, etc.) and the ability to work with cloud load balancing and CDN solutions.

  • Experience with middleware, security, and networking solutions in cloud environments.

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for system administration tasks.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in system administration, with a focus on cloud-based solutions.

  • Proven track record of supporting cloud infrastructure in Dev, Test, and Production environments.

  • Experience in load balancing, CDN configuration, and cloud service management (preferably Azure).

  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex infrastructure and application issues.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
