IMSolutions seeks Federal Grants Management Specialists at all levels to fill multiple roles for upcoming opportunities supporting federal government acquisitions.

We are looking for candidates who have experience on the federal government (agencies) side of grants management from pre-award to closeout.

This posting will help solicit, award, and administer a wide variety of federal grant types.

We are in the process of expanding our pool of Grants Management Specialists to meet our upcoming and ongoing needs. This is not a job posting for a specific vacant position but a way to submit your resume for candidacy for future vacancies for this type of role.

In most instances these jobs will be fully remote - 100% telework in the U.S.; in a few instances you may be required to work at the agency’s office in Washington, DC.

As a Federal Grants Management Specialist, you will perform a wide range of contract/grant administration functions to assist the Government Grants Officer in federal grants planning and preparation, as well as financial assistance management to aid and assist in all phases of the financial management process.

Senior Grant Specialist:

  • Laws, regulations, processes, and methods governing federal financial assistance awards.

  • Review grant applications for compliance.

  • Assess the financial stability of recipients of financial assistance awards.

  • Provide financial assistance and guidance on grants and cooperative agreements.

  • Perform administrative business, policy, and analytical work, including thorough analysis from extensive research and compiling statistics and data.

  • Support price analysis, negotiation, and the appropriate use of funds in financial assistance awards.

  • Execute final review of awards and complete close-out documents.

  • Perform duties independently and guide Junior and Mid-Level Grants Management Specialists to distribute and manage a high volume of workload.

  • Validate Junior and Mid-Level Grants Management Specialists’ audit files.

  • Assist in solving complex financial assistance accounting and financial problems.

  • Prepare concise, unambiguous documents to include Memorandums for Record (MFR), and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) to support financial assistance awards.

  • Prepare grant and cooperative agreement awards and amendments.

  • Execute first-line responsibilities for projects or functions and perform various complex tasks with creativity.

  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Have expert experience in accomplishing goals and performing complex tasks with exceptional creativity and latitude.

Grant Specialist:

  • Aid and assist in all phases of the financial assistance management process.

  • Assess the financial stability of recipients of financial assistance awards and support the appropriate use of funds.

  • Create and maintain audit files for program compliance.

  • Document related performance per the regulations and requirements.

  • Assist in solving financial assistance accounting and financial problems.

  • Perform administrative business, policy, and analytical work, including research and compiling statistics and data.

  • Prepare various documents to include Memorandums for Record (MFR), and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) to support financial assistance awards; and

  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders.

  • Have knowledge of laws, regulations, processes, and methods governing federal financial assistance awards.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Entry (AC): 2 years, Junior (CSI): 3-5 years, Middle (CSII): 6-9 years, Senior (CSIII/IV): 10-12 years, Advanced (SME): 13+ years of experience in government acquisitions, contracts, and/or contract compliance administration required.

  • Bachelor’s degree or at least 24 credit hours in business or a business-related field.

  • Knowledge of federal grants laws, regulations, and policies, as well as an understanding of business and industry grant practices.

  • Experience in grant financial analysis and providing technical assistance and recommendations to meet the intent of the grant.

  • U.S. Citizenship or Foreign National with a work permit and residing in the U.S. for three (3) or more years.

  • Ability to pass a Federal Public Trust Clearance, which must be adjudicated favorably for you to begin working. This requires fingerprinting and reporting on your previous employment, residence, education, and financial and legal background. Candidates may be disqualified for federal or state convictions of crimes, military court-martials, delinquent federal debt including taxes and student loans, current use of illegal drugs, or lying on the application.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree

  • FAC-C or DAWIA certification or equivalent

  • Experience with contract writing systems, such as PRISM.

Base compensation range and benefits:

Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location.

  • $40,000 to $50,000 for entry-level (AC)

  • $45,000 to $55,000 for junior-level (CSI)

  • $60,000 to $80,000 for mid-level (CSII/Mid)

  • $80,000 to $90,000 for senior-level (CSIII/IV Senior)

  • $95,000 to $105,000 for advanced (SME)
