Corporate Program Manager
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Program Manager to join our Corporate PMO department. This role will be responsible for working directly with POWER’s leadership to develop corporate technology programs and the overall enterprise technology portfolio. The chosen candidate will drive operational excellence in delivery of program management services, contribute to continuous process improvement (CPI) ideas to the Corporate PMO and participate in department roadmap strategy discussions and team training activities.
This position is posted in Boise, Hailey and Denver but, can work remotely from any location in the U.S. (Please note in the application where you prefer to be located).
Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, implement and administer one or more corporate programs, consisting of multiple projects or sub-projects
Develop, maintain, or recommend appropriate program governance structure
Develop a multi-year program roadmap, aligning projects to business needs
Participate in corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance
Conduct project/program deliverable prioritization sessions and ensure decisions are committed to and communicated across the organization
Monitor the programs, to ensure that work is completed on time and in accordance with established standards or specifications
Drive adoption and implementation of Agile project and program management methodologies
Ensure project and program activities align with compliance standards, organizational policies and any relevant regulations
Ensure all PM responsibilities are addressed within the program, including development and maintenance of schedules, leading program status meetings, budget and schedule maintenance, and taking a significant role in relationship development
Develop and manage relationships with project sponsors, key stakeholders, project team members, as well as Project Manager and Business Analyst department team members
Provide program level reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders
Develop and use control tools to monitor program plans, schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures and communicate via monthly program status reports
Ensure internal clients’ needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner
Track and manage all program work scope variances
Ensure appropriate management and program sponsors receive proactive communication regarding changes to scope, schedule, budget, and risk concerns.
Communicate ideas for improving the PMO department processes and best practices with a positive and constructive attitude, and help develop this attitude in others
Required Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Math, Engineering, Project Management or related discipline
PMP/PgMP Certification
Minimum seven (7) years of solid and focused program management experience, involving corporate strategy, Information Technology (e.g. infrastructure, custom application development, integrating vendor-specific solutions), corporate enterprise solutions
Experience in Software Development Lifecycle and implementing Agile project experience in a waterfall environment
Successful track record of creating and leading corporate projects and programs
Technical understanding of IT infrastructure and enterprise business systems, as well as familiarity with project centric organizations
Familiarity and collaboration experience with Business Analyst processes and/or requirements gathering techniques
Effective client-facing, C-Suite, and internal team communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills,
Ability to create effective relationships, listen, influence, and collaborate with internal teams
Demonstrated attention to detail and time management capabilities
Ability to work effectively within a geographically distributed team
Ability to develop and mentor others
Desired Experience/Qualifications:
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics F&O, Customer Engagement, Project Operations
Knowledge of Finance and Human Resource processes and software application solutions
Familiarity with CAD/BIM design tools (AutoDesk/Bentley suites)
Familiarity of reality capture technology
Familiarity with emerging AI and ML technologies
Familiarity with cloud computing technologies

POWER is a fun engineering firm. That might seem contradictory to some, but it works for us!
The pay range for this position is $120K-$130K per year; however, base pay may be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This figure does not include additional compensation such as health benefits, vacation, 401k, etc.
