Vanir diligently monitors the construction progress over many metrics including budget and schedule, to inform all stakeholders of progress and to timely monitor and address all tasks, deliverables and deficiencies. The Construction Manager provides the onsite leadership, coordination, and direction for construction management activities; and may supervise field administrative staff, Field/Project Engineers and/or assistant Construction Managers. This position will support construction related to water and/or wastewater infrastructure including transmission pipelines, pump stations, storage, and water and/or wastewater treatment systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: As a Project/Construction Manager and on behalf of a client, the candidate will administer all aspects of a successful water and/or wastewater project, which may include: Providing professional services as an Owner Representative to help ensure that projects are constructed on schedule, on budget and in accordance with project contract documents Duties shall include, but not limited to coordinating and administering compliance, and processing requests for information, submittals, invoices, billing, change orders, schedules, estimates and work plans through project completion Strong knowledge of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements Responsible as onsite liaison with contractor and oversight of progress of construction; Implement schedule, cost, quality, communication, decision-making, use tools and processes for multiple projects Coordinates, tracks, monitors and informs all stakeholders by encouraging timely delivery of comprehensive plans, documents, information and requests to minimize disruption in project progress and deliverables. Conducts project meetings and provides meeting minutes, documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information Ensures contractors, architects, and engineers will adhere to contractual requirements on areas of safety, performance, project staff, and equipment Knowledge and experience working with various project management tools and controls to ensure comprehensive tracking, administration and forecasting of project metrics Ensures project team adheres to safety requirements Participates in project closeout processes and manages documentation to ensure punch list resolution and to secure guarantees, warranties, as-builts, and related provisions for handover to project owner. Where requested, assisting in the constructability review of water and/or wastewater project plans and specifications including evaluation and detailed design of water and/or wastewater treatment plants, pump plants, water reuse systems, distribution systems, conveyance, storage, and pipeline projects Experience with the construction of gas pipelines and electric utilities is also desired but not required Work with local and state regulatory agencies for project permitting, etc. May perform analysis and evaluation of Potential Change Orders and provide recommendations to client and others Provide all services and objectives to ensure the quality of Vanir's services Performs other duties as required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent is required (Extensive relevant pro ect management experience in place of education may be considered) 5-10 years of experience as a field Construction Manager supervising staff is required Construction Management experience on projects valued at $30M and greater On site experience managing the construction of water and/or wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, storage facilities, and conveyance pipelines is required Strong communication, technical writing and time-management skills are required Shall have the ability to work proactively in a high-paced environment and willingness to adjust and respond effectively to change Proficient and experience in various project delivery methods. Strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite products, and experience with project control related systems such as Prolog and Primavera. Experience within the State of Colorado is preferred CMAA - Construction Manager in Training (CMIT) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is preferred Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
