GovCIO Configuration Management Associate 3 in Denver, Colorado

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring fora Change Management Specialistto join a team supporting change management activites for a federal DoD customer. This position is a hybrid postion, primarly remote with a few occurances for on-site visits.

Responsibilities

In this role you will support the Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency (DCSA), Background Information Systems (BIS), Case Processing and other background investigation systems. The successful candidate will coordinate Change Management processes across the DCSA IT PMO and with the enterprise change management team. This includes change management support for nine (9) high-value, mission critical systems providing background investigation processing. The position oversees change management activity for relevant systems with coordination touchpoints related to infrastructure, networking, security, and other support entities. The position is responsible for coordination and execution of configuration management documents and reviews as well as recurring weekly review sessions. The position is expected to coordinate and support branches across the DCSA IT PMO with system development and operational activities. ServiceNow is the primary workflow management tool used within the environment.

Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and hardware products. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. May be involved in product release management.

  • Designs and establishes documentation and release management protocols.

  • Reviews released engineering change data and changes documenting activities to ensure adherence to configuration management procedures and policies.

  • Authorizes the release of drawings, and software configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups.

  • Estimates production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes on expenditures for management and client review, action, and control.

  • Records information to ensure currency of engineering drawings and documentation of production problems.

  • May authorize the release of product into production or development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • US Citizenship and ability to hold a Security Clearance.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to complete tasking with minimal management.

  • Ability to identify, interpret and evaluate major applications and infrastructure.

  • 5+ years of Software Development Life Cycle experience in a federal environment

  • 3+ years of development experience in agile development methodology

  • 3+ years of change management experience in a federal government position

  • Experience with automated workflow management tools (such as ServiceNow)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with software application program development and management personnel.

  • Moderate to advanced skills with O365 components to include Word, Excel, PPT, etc.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Active Security Clearance of Top-Secret level or higher

  • Experience with workflow management in ServiceNow

  • Experience with meeting hosting via MS Team

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $80,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
