Program Overview

The Comcast internship program will help you cultivate meaningful relationships, develop strong interpersonal and business skills, gain exposure to the day-to-day operations of a Fortune 40 media and technology company, and receive mentorship opportunities to expand your professional network.

This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Organization & Team Overview

The Competitive Team is responsible for ensuring that Comcast remains competitive in acquiring new customers, as well as owning the proactive strategies required to protect our existing customer base. We monitor more than 100 competitors across four states and use many different sources of data to influence business decisions. Our competitive team is part of a larger, dynamic organization within the West Division, working closely with regional competitive teams across each area to drive collaboration, share insights, and achieve common goals. This partnership-focused approach allows us to leverage regional expertise, ensuring we stay competitive and innovative in the marketplace.

Role Description

As a Competitive Insights Intern, you will assist the competitive intelligence team in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on data related to our competitors and market trends. This role is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in competitive analysis and strategic planning.

Help to support business cases for key initiatives and potential need for additional resources in highly competitive areas.

By efficiently gathering and analyzing data, this role can provide valuable insights that help the team understand market trends and competitor strategies. This can inform strategic decisions and identify opportunities for Comcast.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Researches, writes, and develops supporting marketing materials and findings

  • Reviews literature pertaining to the current marketing projects and previous marketing materials used in the assignment area

  • Gathers materials of competitive companies in the field

  • Assists in translating business needs into analysis providing insight, knowledge and understanding of consumer and competitor behaviors

  • Helps to create reporting to measure success of marketing programs

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university

  • Rising Junior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026 - Spring 2027)

  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)

  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025

  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Salary:

Base Pay: $22.00
