Description Real Estate Attorney

Our client, a well-established law firm in Denver, Colorado, is seeking an Associate attorney with 4 plus years of commercial real estate experience to join their Real Estate Department.

The appropriate candidate for this position will have over four years of real estate experience, in a law firm or in-house legal department setting, with the ability to successfully handle a variety of real estate matters. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex real estate matters, interact with clients, and contribute to the success of our firm. We are looking for an individual with a foundation in excellent legal research, writing, and analysis who desires an opportunity to learn and grow with our firm and our excellent team of real estate professionals.

Responsibilities include:

o Advising clients on a wide range of real estate matters, including property acquisitions, sales, leasing, and development projects.

o Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various real estate documents and contracts, such as purchase agreements, leases, easements, and financing documents.

o Conducting thorough due diligence, including title examinations, zoning assessments, and environmental reviews, to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

o Representing clients in real estate transactions, negotiations, and dispute resolution proceedings.

o Providing legal counsel and support to internal teams and clients on complex legal issues related to real estate transactions and investments.

o Extensive knowledge of title insurance, survey review, and closing processes.

o Experience with title insurance, tax assessments, trustee foreclosures is a plus.

o Staying updated on changes in real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends to provide proactive legal advice and mitigate risks for clients.

Possession of a license to practice law in Colorado from the Colorado Supreme Court at the time of application or possession of a license from U.S. states that have a reciprocity agreement with the state of Colorado. The firm offers a very competitive pay, bonus, and a complete benefits package. The billable hour requirement is only 1440 hours a year! If you hit 1440, you automatically get a minimum bonus of 10K.
