Area Sales Manager - Acute Care & Clinical Nursing Sales

Overview of the Role

The Acute Care & Clinical Nursing Area Sales Manager will be responsible for covering all sales functions related to suction regulators and external catheter products within the Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas area. This position is ideal for someone who can successfully manage long sales cycles with multiple decision makers.

Who You'll Work With

You will report to the Regional Sales Director while working closely with other Area Sales Managers, Clinical Account Managers, and the Vice President of Sales.

Major Accountabilities:

  • Analyze the local market, develop sales strategies, and effectively execute plans to meet or exceed sales quotas and profit & growth objectives.

  • Identify organic growth opportunities within the existing customer base and work on a strategy to close those opportunities.

  • Secure Key Opinion Leader contacts. Develop clinical relationships that engage physicians and medical staff in support of product evaluations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accurately forecast sales revenues and unit volumes for rolling 30-60-90 day forecasts.

  • Conduct sales product presentations and in-service training to nursing personnel and medical staff within the Acute Care market.

  • Competently demonstrate value propositions of product offerings to stakeholders.

  • Secures orders from existing and potential customers by means of on-site meetings or contact by phone/email.

  • Submit weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related activities for quotes, orders, and problems concerning customer/vendor relationships.

  • Records customer information in the CRM and monitors for accuracy and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business/Marketing or a related field.

  • Medical Device sales experience with the ability to obtain and maintain hospital credentialing is required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Medical Device sales position is required.

  • Ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, presentation skills, analytical skills, communication skills, and critical thinking skills.
