Senior Accountant

JOB TYPE:

Full Time - Onsite

TYPICAL/EXPECTED % OF OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:

Minimal. 1 trip per quarter / for quarterly inventory and cross sites

ABOUT YOU:

This role provides, implements, oversees, and operates the controls necessary to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of all costs associated with all jewelry related locations.

YOU HAVE:

  • Technical Abilities. Excellent technical skills in accounting, with strong systems aptitude and PC skills, specifically spreadsheets (Excel), database (Access), general ledger experience and financial reporting software. Strong analytical skills. Preferred Plan reporting software experience (i.e., SAP BPC, Hyperion, Business Object).

  • Strong Organization. Ability to plan, organize and see projects to completion while managing deadlines. Time management/organization skills – the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.

  • Great Communication Skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of a manufacturing operation.

  • Experience. 5+ years’ experience in an accounting position, with good understanding of general business principles and manufacturing processes. Preferred experience in an accounting position in a manufacturing environment.

  • Education. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

YOU WILL:

  • Precious Metals and Sample Inventory. Lead, analyze, and reconcile quarterly physical inventories. Analyze precious metals movement & inventory levels. Maintain inventory controls. Update inventory sheets with new estimates of scrap material. Prepared reporting for outside refiner’s process. Maintain Refinery precious metal book inventory. Reconcile Jewelry and most Corporate precious metal accounts.

  • Financial Reporting. Provide financial analysis and reporting to management, including weekly metrics and CIPs. Prepare, analyze, and distribute financial information to division, corporate, supervisors, managers, and teams where appropriate. Prepare and maintain tooling and art costs and recovery.

  • Financial Accounting. Perform month-end journal entries, reporting and balance sheet reconciliations in compliance with GAAP and SOX. Manage capital requests. Manage and support property accounting responsibilities, which include monitoring capital spending and issuing/retiring asset tags.

  • Financial Planning. Prepare forecasts, (including precious metal, lease, and CIP forecasts) Annual Plan, and estimates of Risks and Opportunities.

  • Other. Interface with other staff managers and participate in plant management decisions, including staffing, succession planning and long-term operations goals for each plant. Other projects

Our Finance team combines traditional financial planning, analysis and accounting with collaborative business decision-making and strategy, directly supporting leadership in Marketing, Sales, Digital & Operations. Team members are expected to analyze data and provide recommendations across our specialized products lines including Yearbooks, Class Rings, Graduation Products and Professional Sports.
