Registered Nurse (RN) Labor and Delivery (L&D) - PRN III Night Shift
Oh baby! Our Women’s Services department is growing by leaps and bounds. We’re looking for experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses to join our tight-knit nursing team today. New Women’s Services facility just opened!
Work location: Texas Health Denton, 3000 N I-35, Denton, TX 76201
Work hours: PRN Level III/per diem, Night Shift 7p – 7a; minimum requirement: 6 shifts per 6 weeks schedule, 2 weekend shifts per 6 weeks and 1 major and 2 minor holiday shifts a year

The Center for Women at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton is a Texas 10-step facility with the “Best Place to Have a Baby” designation. Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team
The unit has a 12 LDR beds, 2 OR suites, 3 private recovery rooms, 6 Antepartum rooms, 4 private OB/ED beds, and 23 Postpartum/Newborn beds.
Level III NICU with 16 beds with private rooms
The unit delivers an average between 175 a month.

Here’s What You Need
Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred
Current RN licensure upon hire required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 Days of hire
IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 12 Months Req
STABLE Program within 6 Months
NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 Days of hire
CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire
1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse Req
At least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience strongly preferred
What You Will Do
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate
Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
