Requisition Summary

Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, currently has an opportunity for a ‘Medium Duty Sales Manager – Midwest Region’ to join our dynamic team. This position reports into Peterbilt Motor Company Division in Denton, TX and will be responsible for the Midwest region. Extensive regional travel through the Midwest United States is required.

This position may be a fit for you if you have strong sales experience and abilities; an understanding of business-to-business sales; ability to meet and exceed challenging business goals through planning and execution; build relationships from initiation to close and maintain throughout the next sales cycles; and can successfully use a presentation format in selling and communicating with major customers

Job Functions / Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to:

  • Design and execute customer acquisition strategy.

  • Develop a target customer list and a sales plan to generate Medium Duty business.

  • Interact with end users/customers, sales regions, other PACCAR Departments, Dealer Sales Managers and Sales Teams to promote and sell the medium duty product line.

  • Accumulate market information to recommend and execute strategic direction for pricing, cost, orders and option availability for the medium duty product line.

  • Sell products in cooperation with our dealer distributor channels.

  • Assist in the development of marketing programs that are creative to help sell Peterbilt Medium Duty products.

  • Work with our major suppliers, PacLease and PACCAR Financial, to develop programs together that will help sell the medium duty product line.

  • Assist with the development and execution of strategic direction for pricing, cost, orders and option availability Peterbilt Medium Duty products.

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal and business acumen skills

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to prospect business

  • Close sales; manage sales cycles

  • Ability to quickly acquire and apply complex product knowledge

  • Strong Microsoft office skills, including Power Point, Excel, Outlook

  • Knowledge of federal regulations such as Robinson-Patman Act, Sarbanes Oxley, federal and California emissions regulations, etc. is preferred

  • Tech savviness is welcome

  • Candidates must possess a positive attitude, strong initiative, enthusiasm, an interest in our customer’s and high levelof energy. Extensive travel is required.

  • Travel up to 75% is required.

Education

A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA desirable.
