Dental Assistant Timberlake Dental - Denton, TX

Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during patient procedures and providing excellent patient care. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits. Our hours are Monday -Thursday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Responsibilities: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area, sterilizing instruments, and handing instruments to the dentist - Take and develop dental X-rays as directed by the dentist - Perform dental receptionist duties, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records using Dentrix or Epic software - Prepare patients for treatment by taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and explaining procedures - Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety - Perform basic dental laboratory tasks, such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns - Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting treatment areas - Assist with dental billing and coding

Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a dental assistant program preferred - X-Ray certification required - Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures - Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental software preferred - Experience with CAD/CAM technology for crown fabrication is a plus - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work well in a team environment
